Our gold plated earrings feature a premium 2-micron 14k gold plating over sterling silver. While this heavy plating is built for longevity, all gold plated jewellery require mindful care to stay radiant and avoid premature wear.
Quick Care Tips:
- The "Last On" Rule: Apply perfumes and lotions before your earrings. Chemicals are gold’s biggest enemy.
- Keep it Dry: Remove before showering, swimming, or intense workouts to protect the finish.
- Safe Storage: Store in a dry, airtight spot or your original pouch to prevent scratches and oxidation.
- Gentle Cleaning: Wipe with a soft microfiber cloth only. Avoid abrasive "polishing cloths" or chemical cleaners, which can strip the gold layer.
Honest Note: While 2 microns is extra durable, following these steps ensures your 14K gold finish lasts as long as possible before naturally wearing to the silver beneath.
